Certified Business Counselors can
provide a meaningful increase in

As a
Certified Business Counselor you can
give comfort to prospective clients
that they are selecting an ethical
and knowledgeable professional. This
assurance can be extremely valuable
in the advisory services field where
few qualifications are legally
required.
Membership
Levels
Full
Membership
-
has met
all the requirements and earned the
CBC designation. For more details
see the
CBC Accreditation Program.
Candidate
-
are
those member who have joined the
Institute to access educational,
networking and
professionalism-enhancing
opportunities and are working toward
accredited Status.
Affiliate Members
-
are
those members who do not provide
advisory services but join to
network with ICBC members and access
educational, networking and
professionalism-enhancing
opportunities.
Senior Status
-
is
given to those members who hive
reached sixty-five years of age,
have been a member of ICBC for ten
years or more, are inactive in their
profession. A senior member cannot
hold or serve on the board of
directors, however they can serve on
committees.
Honorary Status
-
is
bestowed by the Board of Directors
for recognition in exemplary service
or achievements.
Inactive member
-
is a
member who wishes to remain a member
but is currently inactive in his
profession. This requires a written
request is only valid for one year.
Master Certified Business Counselor
-
(MCBC)
is the highest professional
certification awarded by the
Institute of Certified Business
Counselors in recognition for
service provided to ICBC and its
membership. Member(s) meeting the
requirements for MCBC shall be
submitted for approval by the Board
of Directors at the annual meeting.
Requirements for MCBC
certification are:

Must hold a license or
another designation from a
recognized professional
society and be a member in
good standing of ICBC for
ten consecutive years, or
any combination totaling ten
years, as follows;

Serve as board member - one
year additional credit for
each year served.

Serve as President (upon
completion of full term)
four-years additional
credit.

Or be a member in good
standing of ICBC for 15
consecutive years.
